The Grand Event: The Nuts & Bolts of Grandparenting

  • All Saints Church of Winter Park 338 East Lyman Avenue Winter Park, FL, 32789 United States (map)

Many of us have bought into the cultural lie that we are inconsequential in the lives of our children and grandchildren. Nothing, however, is further from the truth!

Join Sherry Schumann as she digs into Scripture and uncovers what the Bible says about our role as grandparents. Discover what it means to leave a Gospel-shaped legacy in a post-Christian culture. Learn practical ways to share your faith with your grandchildren, offer them the gift of the spoken blessing, and commit yourselves as prayer warriors interceding regularly on your grandchildren’s behalf.

Disclaimer: This conference isn’t only for biological grandparents. If you are a surrogate grandparent, great-aunt, or great-uncle, please join us! Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

About Sherry Schumann

As the president of the Christian Grandparenting Network (CGN), Sherry Schumann has the privilege and joy of helping grandparents leave a legacy of faith in Christ Jesus to future generations. She loves working with churches of all sizes: presenting the Nuts-and-Bolts of Godly Grandparenting conference, starting Grandparents@Prayer (G@P) groups, and establishing new GrandCamps. Sherry is a member of the DOK.

Sherry has authored two books for grandparents: The Grand Expedition: A Practical Guide to Praying for Your Grandchildren and Prayers that Stir the Hearts of Grandparents. Her novel, The Christmas Bracelet, appeals to women of all ages.

Sherry’s life in rural South Carolina is simple and beautiful. She has been married to her soul mate for more than four decades. They are blessed with three grown sons, three daughters-in-love, and seven adorable grandchildren. Sherry’s heart rejoices whenever her home echoes with the sounds of their children’s (daughters-in-law, included) and grandchildren’s voices.
