Pastoral Care

Clergy

The very first thing you need to know is that the Clergy of All Saints Church of Winter Park are not too busy to spend time with you in order to listen, really listen to you, and to pray with you. Send us a note.

Second, trained prayer ministers of All Saints Healing Ministry are also available to you. During communion on Sundays, make your way to the Lady Chapel. Or come on a Tuesday night to the Healing Service.

Community of Hope, International

In short, Community of Hope International equips God’s people to serve in all forms of pastoral care. Pastoral care is when a person is being “present” in a listening, compassionate, non-controlling manner to others for the purpose of consciously or unconsciously representing God to them and seeking to respond to their spiritual needs.

Through ongoing, spiritual formation and practical lessons on caregiving, members learn to match theological insights and spiritual practices with their experiences of ministering to others and giving spiritual guidance.

At All Saints, we come alongside our Rector and the Parish Clergy to expand pastoral care and strengthen relationships within the Parish as Eucharistic Visitors. You will most often find us with those who are unable to leave their homes or hospital rooms. If you are interested and would like more information you can contact Fr. Jared at (407) 647-3413. We would love to welcome you into this ministry. Training is required.

Almost every week, our team of dedicated volunteers transforms the beautiful Sunday altar flowers into small arrangements to be delivered to members of the All Saints family who may need connection or encouragement. Along with a note from our clergy, these beautiful flower arrangements bring a little of the Church into the lives of hospitalized and homebound parishioners. Please let us know if we can help you make the connection this week between the Lord’s altar and someone’s table at home.

Our Cares Away Cookies ministry is one more way that we extend the love of our parish family even further! Cares Away Cookies mails cookies to college students and members of the military that are far from home. We only send out care packages at certain times of the year, so if you would be interested in baking cookies, packing cookies, or if you know of someone who needs some cookies, please contact our Parish Administrator Beth Davis to get on the list!

All Saints Church’s Blessing of the Animals takes place every fall (usually in October). Bring your pets to be blessed and enjoy seeing your friends’ pets too. Donations of canned and small bags of dry cat and dog food are appreciated and will be given to Happy Trails Animal Rescue and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

All Saints has an inventory of assorted medical supplies that are available to anyone in the parish. They can also loan out to your friends, family or anyone you know that might need a piece of equipment. We have walkers, wheelchairs, portable toilet chairs, shower chairs, crutches, etc. If you are in need of borrowing any of the equipment, please contact Parish Administrator Beth Davis at (407) 599-4301. Also, if you would like to give any medical equipment, please let us know. We may be able to use it as well.
