Saints Alive: Sinatra Night

Saints Alive

"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: ‘The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music.'”

Kurt Vonnegut

“I’ve Got You Under My Lyrics : The artistry of the music of Frank Sinatra”

From “All of Nothing at All”  to “Zing Went the Strings of My Heart”, many people feel that Frank Sinatra created the definitive performance of nearly every song he sang. This was accomplished in large part with the help of the hand-crafted arrangements which so beautifully adorn his songbook. In this multimedia presentation, we will explore Sinatra’s intuitive musical gift, the art of arranging, and the work of notable Sinatra collaborators such as Axel Stordahl, Johnny Mandel, Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Quincy Jones, and Don Costa.

Join Saints Alive on Sunday, February 22 at 6:30 pm in the Mary Martha Parlor.

Light Supper (including Sinatra’s favorite salad), wine, and soft drinks will be served.

All Saints congregants David and Valerie Conlan-Horvath will be hosting this stimulating and tuneful presentation.

Please RSVP to Susan Dolan by Wednesday, February 18th, so we can make proper arrangements for food and beverage. Susan is at smmdol@aol.com
