Recital & Evensong
All Church Recital Series
Join us on April 6 at 5:00 pm for a recital by students from the studios of Angelyn Chen and Terry Yount, featuring music from Bach, Rollin, Mozart, Gillock, and Murrill. Then stay for Evensong at 5:30 pm, and leave with a heart filled with grace and peace.
Angelyn Chen is a pianist and music educator in Orlando, serving as a Company Pianist for Orlando Ballet and an active collaborative pianist with various arts organizations and schools in Central Florida. She teaches piano, music theory, and ear training at All Saints Conservatory of Music and Saint Andrew's Conservatory of Music. Angelyn holds a bachelor’s degree in Instrumental and Vocal Music Education from Auburn University and a master’s in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
Dr. Terry Yount earned his bachelor’s in music from the University of Alabama and both his master’s and DMA from the Eastman School of Music. Emeritus Chief Musician at Saint Andrew’s Chapel and Dean of Saint Andrew’s Conservatory, he teaches organ, piano, and harpsichord. He has taught or performed at institutions across several states and toured Europe as an organist with various ensembles. His recordings include Music at St. Paul’s, Ligonier Sinfonia, God of Grace and Glory, and Festive Dedication. Residing in Lake Mary, FL, with his wife Laura, a voice teacher, he shares Bach’s belief that “I play the notes as they are written, but it is God who makes the music.”
