Join us on February 2nd at 5:00 pm for a recital by Abigail Kent featuring music from Still, Bonds, and Price. Then stay for Evensong at 5:30 pm, and leave with a heart filled with grace and peace.
Harpist Abigail Kent is a multi-faceted and internationally award-winning artist. Known for their virtuosity and sensitivity, the core of Abigail’s presentations is the choice of repertoire. In addition to music and influences from both classical and Celtic traditions, Abigail is also devoted to performing the music of marginalized identities. It is here that they make strong connections with audiences of all backgrounds, cultivating a space to discover a variety of composers whose music has previously been hidden in plain sight.
Abigail has performed as a concerto soloist with numerous orchestras and festivals including Bravo! Big Sky Music Festival, National Repertory Orchestra, and New World Symphony. They are also the harp faculty at the College of Charleston and have taught and given lectures at the Brevard Music Center, American Harp Academy, and Curtis Institute of Music. Abigail holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Juilliard School.
