God’s given us a mission to make disciples who are rooted in a trustworthy, neighborhood parish church — where the opportunities and resources God has entrusted to us are maximized for the mission and ministry of the Gospel.
MISSON. OUTREACH. SERVICE.
All Saints Church participates in Family Promise, a national program that helps families that are currently homeless achieve housing and self-sufficiency as quickly as possible. We are happy to be one of the many local churches to come alongside those in need in this very direct way!
Four weeks a year, All Saints welcomes four homeless families into our parish where they receive shelter, hospitality, and meals. For each week that we are hosting we have 40 volunteer opportunities: bedrooms need to be set up, welcome packets put together, a pantry needs to be stocked, meals prepared and hosts are needed for dinner and overnight. This is a hands-on expression of God’s love for those in need.
Your participation will bless you as you bless them with encouragement, kindness, and compassion.
On the second Saturday of each month, All Saints parishioners pack boxes full of food and deliver them to families in need in our immediate area. Month after month, friendships are made and strengthened as big wins in care recipients' lives are celebrated.
To participate with us: 1) Arrive at the Thomas Center at 8:30 am on the second Saturday of the month to pack food boxes, and/or 2) That same morning, pick up a food box or two along with necessary information to deliver to local Winter Park-area families.
For 38 years, All Saints has teamed with St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church to provide food, clothes, and other holiday needs to local families. Each year in November, All Saints hosts the Giving Thanks Dinner where guests come to enjoy a nice dinner and fellowship. All guests of the dinner are encouraged to bring food, toys, and cash donations to be given to St. Margaret Mary which hosts the stores. This year is a different situation. See the video above for more information.
Samaritan’s Village exists to provide a safe place where sexually trafficked women can heal from trauma, recover from addiction, and reclaim their lives to become catalysts for change in their communities. Samaritan Village offers a long-term, trauma-informed, and holistic care model of rehabilitation for survivors.
All Saints Church of Winter Park serves beside them to help them collect items needed to run the home and to continually help their women find peace, a safe place, and the resources needed.
Bring non-perishable food and toiletries for the Christian Service Center of Winter Park with you to church on the first Sunday of each month. Current pantry needs include spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, and syrup.
El Hogar de Amor y Esperanza (The Home of Love and Hope) is located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The purpose of El Hogar is to provide a loving home and education in a Christian environment for abandoned, orphaned, and hopelessly poor children, enabling them to fulfill their ultimate potential to lead productive and hopeful lives.
All Saints has been involved in the life of El Hogar for many years and representatives from Honduras visit us every year to help keep us up-to-date. In addition to making contributions through our Outreach Commission, many parishioners (and Sunday School classes) also sponsor children and support the home directly. We also send mission teams to visit on a regular basis.
For more information, please visit the El Hogar website. To find out how YOU can get involved and/or join one of these mission teams, please contact the parish offices!
